History of Thien Lam Pagoda in Hue

Directions to Thien Lam Pagoda
Hue Thien Lam Pagoda is located only 5km from the city center, the road is quite easy to find. You can come by any means. From there, you go in the direction of Hung Vuong Street and then turn left to Nguyen Hue Street. Continue going straight, at the end of the road you will see the intersection with Dien Bien Phu, continue. Turn right onto Thanh Hai street and just go straight when you see a large standing Buddha statue to arrive.

The area inside the temple
Going deep inside the temple, you enter the world of statues, all of which represent the life of Buddha. Observe the main hall area, you will see in the middle there is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha on a 2m high throne. Next to the two sides is a statue of the Most Venerable Ho Ring, sitting in wax, looking like the real thing, and the Dai persimmon fruit weighing up to 700kg.

Burmese Stupa
Traveling to Hue to visit Thien Lam Pagoda, the most impressive thing is probably this 15m high stupa. The lower body is white, and the upper part is painted yellow like an upside down bell. The top of the tower is so high, the decorations are all with reliefs inspired by Myanmar's Sirimagala temple and Thailand's gold-plated temples.
